MSC Inc. is an ecumenical Christian ministry outreach service run by volunteers from both the churches of Mackay and the wider general community. Street Chaplains aim to reach beyond the church walls to offer God s love and presence to the wider city, to provide a listening ear to all and to engage with the community in acts of practical care, especially to those who are most vulnerable. The mission of MSC Inc. is to offer practical and pastoral care to people where they are, and to oversee and staff the Rest and Recovery Tent in the nightclub area of Mackay. Street chaplains must hold a current Basic First Aid qualification and deliver first aid within the boundaries of their level of training. Mackay Street Chaplaincy provides another leg to the Safer Streets initiatives in Mackay, supporting the Police, Ambulance, Security Services, Business Owners and community organisations. Our charity provides water and basic first aid to drug & alcohol affected patrons in the nightclub precinct. Is an assistance to police, security, paramedics etc.
