Due to the ongoing Covid19 related border/state closures and lockdowns, Systems Chemistry Australia did not carry out any activities in 2021 and as the AGM for FY 2021 had then be postponed to August 2022 and then again to December 2023, no binding decisions on activities were made in the FY 2122. However, in early 2022, discussions between the Chairperson, who is also cochair of the International Symposium of Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry (ISMSC) in Reykjavik, Iceland in June 2023, and the ISMSC cochairs, started regarding if Systems Chemistry Australia could become a sponsor and partner in running that meeting. A verbal approval to do so was given by the other Directors in late 2022. The organisation also continued to be a named backer of the Opendatafit / supramolecular.org project.
