AVWPE Home The Arkansas Valley Wind and Percussion Ensemble is a wellestablished community band in Lamar Colorado. We include a concert band and smaller ensembles such as the AVWPE Jazz Band pictured here The band consists entirely of volunteer musicians from the area around Lamar in Southeastern Colorado and provides several concerts a year to our local community. The band rehearses in the Shore Arts Center for several weeks in advance of our concerts. If you are interested in joining the band as a player as a volunteer worker or would simply like to come hear our concerts just send us an email using our Contact Us form.
