The Ballarat Foundation is Ballarat and the regions own Community Foundation. Community impact is a core focus for the Ballarat Foundation. We measure our success by the level of positive impact we create. We do this by: Managing and supporting a number of appeals, workplace giving programs and donor subfunds to encourage giving and philanthropy; Distributing grants to community organisations to support Early Childhood and Youth Success, Food and Housing Security; Distributing Back to School vouchers to ensure some of our most vulnerable families have what their children need for school; Supporting young drivers to graduate through the L2P program, obtaining a licence, with the guiding help of volunteer mentors. Supporting the volunteering sector through promotion and building capability of volunteers and organisations who rely on those volunteers; Helping children to build a love of books and reading before starting school, with books delivered through our Ballarat Reads Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program; By initiating and providing community access to the Ballarat Vital Signs, a community pulse check utilising data to provide insights on important social indicators within Ballarat and surrounding regions.
