The AustSTEM Foundation STEM Education for a Better Environment Our purpose is to promote education in Australia with an emphasis on the Natural Environment and to foster an increased awareness and competence in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics STEM. Our aim is to raise awareness of engineering amongst teachers and their students in years 58 and to provide schools particularly rural and remote schools with the resources and ongoing support to allow their students to pursue and then successfully complete an engineering degree. The AustSTEM Foundation supports the Education Councils National STEM School Education Strategy. The STEM journey begins in Primary school and this is the starting point for the design of our resources and training programmes.
