River Nile School

We empower young refugee & asylum seeker women through education River Nile School is a specialist reengagement senior secondary school for young women who are humanitarian refugees, asylum seekers and new arrivals. Therefore, our students are extremely vulnerable, isolated and have experienced significant, complex trauma in their lives. Our curriculum is delivered through an English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Traumainformed Practice lens. All the services provided as well as the programs and resources are completely freeofcharge, as our students are among the most disadvantaged in our community. We support our students to gain the language, work and life skills to integrate and thrive in our community.
