ADAS continues to provide training services to the hyperbaric industry, both in the delivery of training through its Accredited Training Establishments (ATEs) and through acting as a skills council representing the hyperbaric industry. ADAS qualifications are accredited under the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF) to meet the specific needs of hyperbaric workers operating in this unique environment. ADAS is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) accredited with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and as such, upholds stringent policies and procedures to comply with the RTO Standards as regulated by ASQA. Part of this compliance is the assurance of the high skill level of ADAS trainers and assessors to a level of world s best practice; ongoing Professional Development of trainers and assessors; and ongoing validation and moderation of ADAS courses. As a fundamental part of the ADAS risk management strategy, the ADAS Board of Directors remains committed to the implementation of a rigorous and comprehensive quality control and compliance audit program. All ATEs, and their trainers, have been audited against an extensive criterion as part of the quality assurance program which involves both onsite and remote auditing of training facilities; training material; and course outcomes. ADAS is an active member of the International Diving Regulators and Certifiers Forum (IDRCF) and continues to maintain agreements with fellow IDRCF certification bodies. This ensures the ongoing international recognition of ADAS trained hyperbaric workers and allows ADAS certification holders to work in a large number of international locations. Working closely with national and international regulatory bodies has helped ADAS ensure the currency and relevance of the training provided to workers in the hyperbaric industry.
