Living the Dream Foundation exists on the principle of solidarity where we get to provide a caring and empathy driven environment a culture where young people are empowered to make positive changes, are equipped to overcome adversity, and improve their quality of life so they can become a vibrant and active members of our society. As an organization our priority is to engage any at risk, vulnerable and young person who expressed experiencing the negative affects of the pandemic and responses that had on their mental health and overall wellbeing into our three core programs Wellbeing, Mentoring & Member Care. Post Covid19, in 2022 we have identified three new key priorities 'Reducing Poverty' by creating access to free health training, 'Crime Prevention' working with the most atrisk youth and 'Improved Mental Health' for children and young people through collaboration with the community youth sector and other community services. We use strength base approach working with at risk and vulnerable cohort to help them identify individuals skills and competencies to brake the cycle of disengagement, poverty, disadvantaged and /or criminal offending/reoffending. Over the past 12 months we were able to work with the community young people and provide them with an access to a daily/weekly opportunities to our services assisting their raised concerns regards mental health, connectedness, isolation, ability to cope, further disengagement from services, education, employment, higher levels of anxiety/worry and psychological distress. We collaborate with the community youth sector such as Frankston Youth Services, Police, Frankston courts and other community organizations to provide a safe environment for all the young people and all work towards safer and better community.
