St John of God Health Care (SJGHC) pursued its charitable purpose during the last financial year via the operation of hospitals and home nursing services through Australia. As a notforprofit entity all profits were returned to the general community served by updating and expanding facilities and technology; expanding existing services and developing and acquiring new services. SJGHC currently operates 15 hospitals across Australia, providing over 3000 patient beds across Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. SJGHC hospitals provide acute services, psychiatric services and rehabilitation services to patients. Home nursing services in Victoria and Western Australia delivered over seventy eight thousand episodes of care for patients. SJGHC also provided early years clinical services to parents and families who are affected by anxiety, stress or depression during pregnancy and following childbirth for up to four years of age as well as provision of mental health and drug/alcohol services to individuals and their families.
