Our mission is to: Responsibly manage the business needs and regulatory requirements of The City of Greater Lithgow Mining Museum Inc., Our Board continues to make wise commercial decisions to maintain the sustainability of our organisation. Develop, improve and manage the Lithgow State Mine Museum We continue to make physical improvements to buildings and to prosecute new projects to enhance our stature in the museums and arts sectors. We are currently in discussion with NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service and local tourism organisations to ensure our museum obtains maximum benefit from the newly created Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area. Manage and improve the capacity of the State Mine Site to host weddings and community events, We have made capital improvements and organisational changes to improve our capacity in this regard. Manage museum operations and promote the Lithgow State Mine Heritage Park as a tourism destination, and wedding and events venue We continue to operate the museum for visitors in partnership with local tourism agencies. We also continued to promote our wedding venue. Partner with museums and arts organisations to ensure the best outcomes for the Lithgow State Mine Heritage Park. We work closely with other local museums and with organisations such as Arts Out West and Museums & Galleries of NSW to link with grant and development programs for our museum.
