The Wishing Well - Home

The Wishing Well [http://thewishingwell.org.au] is a not-for-profit incorporated charity organisation, established and managed by people seeking to improve outcomes for children and young people in out-of-home care and their families. Members of the Wishing Well Board approach nongovernment organisations providing care to children in Out of Home Care, to determine their interest in funding for therapy options for children placed with them. The Board also approaches potential therapy providers to make agreements with them. The Board has continued to approach potential donors and continues to work on fund raising activities and strategies.

The Wishing Well was established in 2010 to offer children in outofhome care such as foster and residential care a range of holisitc healing and treatment options not available to them in the mainstream. The Wishing Well raises funds from sources which include corporate partnerships fundraising events grants online donations and through fund raising activities at community events. The Wishing Well in a notforprofit incorporated charity organisation formed and managed by Phoenix Rising for Children. As well as an industry leader in outofhome care for children and young people donors can be assured that the decision makers within the charity not only understand the unique needs of children in care but also where funds are urgently needed to address these needs through holistic treatment options.
