Taking Paediatrics Abroad has continued is support of paediatric telemedicine in Northern NSW and is exploring support for another nearby town seeking paediatric expertise. Taking Paediatrics Abroad has conducted regular Zoom based meetings for clinical education and guidance to support colleagues who are paediatric doctors, nurses and allied health professionals in the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, Kirribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Mongolia. In addition, a virtual conference was held in May 2022, including key updates and cases presented from each country A Journal club has been commenced for junior paediatric doctors in the South Pacific and Australia. It is led by Dr Elodie Moreau and meets monthly to discuss articles of relevance to practice in the South Pacific. It is supported by experienced paediatricians. A paediatric surgical discussion group, led by Dr Susan Adams, has commenced for colleagues in the South Pacific and Cambodia. Monthly meetings discuss the evidence underpinning the surgical management of a wide variety of paediatric conditions.
