We are a social enterprise committed to tackling hunger and employment insecurity in Australia. We do this by harnessing the power of food to provide training, employment and other opportunities that enable individuals to self-sustain. Plate it Forward's mission is to reduce unequal opportunity in marginalised communities. In our second year of operation we succeeded in providing meaningful and sustainable training and employment opportunities to an additional 23 individuals. Several of these individuals have been promoted to full time management positions. We also donated over 100,000 meals to food insecure communities throughout Sydney, and increased this support during COVID19 lockdowns to better support those affected.
