The club's members provided patrol, emergency response and first aid services for the general public who visit Palm Beach and the immediate environs. The club provided extensive surf education and awareness and sporting activities for children as part of its nipper program. It also provided training for people to develop skills in a range of resuscitation, advanced resuscitation and first aid based courses.

Since 1921 the Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Club has protected the lives of the community in the spirit of the First Infantry Battalion from which it takes it colours. With over 1100 members it has become one of the largest Clubs on Sydneys Northern Beaches. The 202425 Season Calendar is now live.
