The Girls & Boys Brigade empowers children, youth and their families to realise their full potential. The Girls & Boys Brigade helps children and youth in need create brighter futures for themselves. Through education and recreation, our programs empower young people to build life skills, explore their passions, and experience fulfilling childhoods no matter their circumstances. Our services are available to innerSydney children and youth (aged 518) and their families who are living with significant financial, social, educational, and housing disadvantages. We believe these challenges should not limit or define what children are able to achieve in life, and our programs ensure that young people and their families have access to the support they need to achieve their full potential. Education Support, School Holiday Care, Food Support, Vocational Workshops, and Family Support are some of the programs which we offer from our centre in Surry Hills. These programs work to holistically improve the longterm social, educational, and health outcomes of those who use them. In our 141 years of operation, many thousands of families have benefited from accessing the safe space, advocacy, and practical support we provide.
