Janet Clarke Hall is a residential College that provides a supportive and intellectual environment for students and has a long tradition of supporting marginal students (as defined on the basis of gender and background). Tutoring, academic and personal mentoring, social awareness training and a range of visiting speakers build intellectual and social viability within the College. In 2022 the College provided support through scholarships and bursaries to 77% of its students. Students received between $1000 and $20,000 each in support based upon academic ability or on an individual assessment of their personal circumstances in relation to financial support.
