We work to understand the experiences of people who have suffered child sexual abuse and to harness these knowledges and that of service providers, care practioners, researchers, policy makers and the broader community to commission research to improve the response to trauma experienced by survivors of child sexual abuse to facilitate their healing for example research into harmful sexual behaviours. Building on these knowledges, we seek to raise public awareness and enhance capability and workforce capacity in connection with reducing child sexual abuse and its impacts across key sectors including child protection, health, education, welfare and legal to create an environment in which survivors of child sexual abuse are better empowered and supported in their healing journeys
