Supporting educational opportunities in Israel's socio-economically disadvantaged periphery. Ofanim is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to mitigate educational gaps between children living in central Israel and those living on its geographic and social periphery. We provide extracurricular enrichment in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to children living in peripheral communities in northern and southern Israel. Creating equal opportunity throughout the country is saving students lives in the short-term, while nurturing Israel's shortage of engineers by early STEM intervention is key to saving Israel security threats in the future. Friends of Ofanim supports Ofanim by increasing awareness of Ofanim throughout the US, and raising funds for Ofanim.
