About Valley Heights Steam Tramway The Valley Heights Steam Tramway is operated by the Steam Tram and Railway Preservation CoOp Society Limited STARPS. STARPS was established in June 1954 and operated the Steam Tramway and Museum in Parramatta Park until 7 June 1993 when it was destroyed by fire. The society was unable to gain approval to reestablish in Parramatta Park and has relocated the majority of the collection to Valley Heights. Our goal is to operate the Steam Tramway in conjunction with the activities of the Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum.
