Little Stars Foundation | Helping Queensland Children Thrive

The Mission of Little Stars Kids is to improve the lives of children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect who are living in foster, residential and kinship care in Australia. Children living in foster care are significantly disadvantaged and generally perform worse then their peers at school for a variety of reasons. Educational support is critical to helping these children break the cycle and go on to be productive and healthy members of society. Over the last 12 months our Little Stars Learners Program has provided educational support to almost 200 children in the South East Queensland region. The Little Stars Learners Program provides one on one in home weekly academic tutoring in the areas of literacy and maths to children to improve educational outcomes and help them keep up with their peers. In addition to our Little Stars Learners Program, we have provided over 200 suitcases with brand new personal and comfort items to children entering foster care in South East Queensland.
