The Rainforest 4 Foundation mission is rainforest conservation for Wildlife, Climate, People, and the Planet. Donations received in FY2022 enabled us to grow our program of land purchase for conservation. Thirteen properties were acquired totalling 89 hectares. We acquired the following 12 properties in the Daintree Lowland Rainforest in Far North Queensland: Lot 110 Palm Road, Diwan Lot 505 cedar Road, Cow Bay Lot 176 Quandong Road, Cow Bay Lot 2 Thornton Peak Drive, Forest Creek Lot 213 Teak Road, Cow Bay Lot 21 Camelot Close, Cape Tribulation Lot 18 Daley Close, Kimberley Lot 242 White Beech Road, Cow Bay Lot 8 Buchanan Creek Road, Cow Bay Lot 11 Buchanan Creek Road, Cow Bay Lot 257 Silver Ash Road, Cow Bay We also cofunded the acquisition of Oakey Scrub with fellow nonprofit South Endeavour Trust. This 69hectare property is located near Cooktown on Cape York Peninsula and contains Monsoon Rainforest (21 hectares of semideciduous Notophyll vine forest) and Savannah (48 hectares of mixed woodland grassland ecosystem). Care and maintenance of 21 Daintree Rainforest properties occurred or commenced in FY2022. This involved the removal of exotic plants and the planting for native rainforest trees. Throughout the year nine vegetation surveys were conducted in the Daintree lowlands.
