C3 Church Shellharbour s objectives and activities are in keeping with its company constitution outlined in its charitable purpose and powers (objectives AM), filed with ASIC and the ACNC. C3 Church Shellharbour Ltd. s objectives are also consistent with the constitution, guidelines, and expectations of C3 Church Global Ltd and C3 Church Australia Ltd. These objectives can be summarized concisely as C3 Shellharbour s desire to continue to reach the Illawarra Community and beyond with the good news regarding Christ and to practically support the vulnerable and those affected by misfortune with care and support for their comfort and wellbeing. Regarding C3 Shellharbour s strategies, these are relationallydriven, and consist of social and spiritual connectstyle groups, Sunday corporate gatherings, and welfare initiatives to meet the social, spiritual, and practical needs of people. These strategies in turn are supported by the development of spiritual and community leaders to mobilize volunteer efforts toward our goals. From a social perspective, our efforts can be compared, somewhat, to the social work model ABCD (Assets Based Community Development). Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) is a strategy for sustainable communitydriven development. Beyond the mobilization of a particular community, ABCD is concerned with how to link microassets to the macroenvironment. The appeal of ABCD lies in its premise that communities can drive the development process themselves by identifying and mobilizing existing, but often unrecognized assets and relationships, and thereby responding to and creating local opportunity. The power of ABCD is found in the local associations who should drive the community development process and leverage additional support. These associations are the vehicles through which all a community's assets can be identified and then connected to another in ways that multiply their power and effectiveness. Users of the ABCD approach are deliberate in their intentions to lead by stepping back. Existing associations and networks (whether formal or informal) are assumed to be the source of constructive energy in the community. Communitydriven development is done rather than development driven by external organizations. At the core of ABCD is its focus on social relationships. Formal and informal associations, networks, and extended families are treated as valuable in and of themselves but are the means to mobilize other families to create wellbeing in our community. By treating relationships as valuable, ABCD is a practical application of the concept of social capital. C3 Church Shellharbour intends to utilize, through ABCD, the social capital of the Illawarra to increase spiritual vitality and redress adverse health and education outcomes, poverty, injustice, abuse, and misfortune. C3 Church Shellharbour Ltd has achieved its overall mission, goals, and aims throughout 2022 through the church programs listed in the AIM.
