POSM Research Institute aims to aid the general population and those within it who are suffering from chronic orthopaedic and orthopaedic related conditions. The Institute has a number of ongoing projects working upon treatment strategies, rehabilitation from surgery, enhanced instrumentation and surgical techniques which are all focused upon increasing the knowledge base around these chronic conditions and working towards better diversity of orthopaedic health care to all people in society. The Institute continues to reach its aim through the following avenues: Ongoing research in a ranges of areas focused upon chronic orthopaedic conditions. Teaching of medical and allied health staff through fellowships, orthopaedic trainees and seminars Continued support to patients with chronic orthopaedic conditions through education, information and treatment regimens.
