Vitae Veritas Fog Theatre Program continues to support 16 artists with intellectual disability in weekly performing and interdisciplinary arts workshops, including an array of public performances at The Moon Lantern Festival and 'Born to be Wild' for International Day of People with Disability; and Sparc Theatre Program, whose membership increased by 100% through partnerships with other CSO's and SRS's, that now supports 10 ageing participants with psychosocial disability in weekly performing arts workshops, including public presentations at Linden New Art Gallery and within the local Port Phillip community. In 20212022 VV supported 2 student placements/practicums (Masters Creative Arts Therapy and Cert IV Disability). Our Mentoring (Individual Support) Programs supports 8 independent artists with disability and chronic health conditions in achieving their creative and professional goals as well as producing and presenting a variety of theatrical, film and/or live public outcomes. Vitae Veritas is a major provider of audio description and tactile tour services for the Victorian performing and visual arts industry, and provided 20+ audio described and tactile tour events throughout metro and regional Victoria. As part of this work VV also trained numerous artists, producers, arts organisations, local government agencies and cultural institutions (including some based in NSW and Qld) through our capacitybuilding, training and education programs, to improve audio description and tactile tour skills, knowledge, application and delivery; and ways to embed and enhance accessibility in creative practice, business systems and the workplace, for disabled people and people who are blind, or have low vision, to equitably access and enjoy all parts of arts, culture and entertainment, including as volunteers and workers. Vitae Veritas consultancy support to (it s no) drama based in South Gippsland resulted in their ability to successfully establish themselves as an independent notforprofit arts company dedicated to championing arts access and inclusion of artists with disability living in regional Victoria. Our major project for this period is called Body Here as part of Polyphonic Motions, funded by The Australia Council for the Arts Reimagine Sector Recovery Fund and the Department of Social Services. Body Here is an inprogress research project collaboration between the Carefull Design Lab of RMIT University and Fog Theatre, centring artists with intellectual disability and how a creative online technological tool is shaped by their responses and experiences, to create an inclusive, playful, expressive tool that will allow for visual, musical, performative output that encourages collaboration across different types of virtual and physical spaces globally.
