Hugh Manning Tractor & Machinery Museum – Hugh Manning Tractor & Machinery Museum

Our Charity has brought together likeminded people who are interested in preserving the farming history of Western Australia. Volunteers come together to ensure that our tractors are maintained in running order and incoming machinery is restored to as close as original condition as is possible. We have also gathered together a unique collection of shearing equipment that tells of our WA shearing history. Along with the collection of items in the museum, our mission to bring together men, women and older teenagers to work on the displays (all of whom must be paid members of the museum), not only preserves our family heritage but also helps their mental health, especially in the senior volunteers. most of whom no longer work in the paid workforce.

Most of our collection of tractors and machinery has been restored to excellent working condition after having served the farming community in the state of Western Australia from the early 1900s. Brief History of the Museum The Hugh Manning Tractor Machinery Museum is also known as the Serpentine Tractor and Machinery Museum Our Story The Hugh Manning Tractor and Machinery Museum Inc was the brain child of the late Hugh Manning who with the support of Alcoa of Australia and the Shire of SerpentineJarrahdale succeeded in founding the Museum. It opened on 18th September 1993.
