Our mission is to protect the ocean through science and advocacy, and to inspire environmental stewardship. We advocate for healthy oceans and we share information about our research and the five major threats to cetacean life. We use drone footage, photography and video to identify whales and track scarring, injuries and body mass to determine the health of the species. We present to school groups and community groups, and we run clean up campaigns to reduce marine debris and microplastic pollution.

THE NEW Hervey Bay Nature Cruise The Hervey Bay Nature Cruise touring from midDecember to midMay offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the beautiful waters of Hervey Bay and the diverse array of wildlife that the area sustains. From dugongs to turtles sharks to rays and dolphins to birds of prey there is so much wildlife to observe and appreciate on the Fraser Coast. Ocean Defender our 12m RIB vessel is purposebuilt for wildlife watching offering waterlevel views and small group tours with a maximum of 38 passengers for an intimate experience. CheckIn is 30 minutes prior to departure at our Ocean Store at the Great Sandy Straits Marina in Urangan.
