Our fundraising activities throughout the year enabled us to raise income to invest $220,000 in seven peer reviewed Friedreich Ataxia research projects. Providing grants for these projects in in line with our mission to invest in promising research, in the hope to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for Friedreich Ataxia.

Imagine being a child or a teenager and being told you have a degenerative muscle disease which will lead to a loss of muscle coordination fatigue vision impairment hearing loss slurred speech and then a serious heart condition this is Friedreich Ataxia. 1 in every 30000 affected. 1 in 90 are carriers. There is currently no cure.
