Find us at www.clhm.org Keeping Cygnet Tasmania's history fresh and alive We collect what we can of our area's history, both preEuropean and European. Information is stored in booklets, photocopied photos, oral histories and books. We share what history we have by opening our museum regularly through the use of volunteers, and by answering queries, mostly in person, but also by email and phone.

Cygnet Living History Museum is run and maintained by a small but dedicated group of local volunteers and helpers. We rely on community support to continue providing access to historic information and resources for the Local Tasmanian and wider Australian community. Many of our visitors are from the furthest reaches of Tasmania and very often from interstate. With a surprisingly strong representation having regularly come all the way from France preCOVID where there is still considerable interest in the history of our region thanks to its exploration by various historic French expeditions.
