The Medical Students Association Notre Dame (MSAND) Inc is a not-for-profit organization serving as the peak representative body for all medical students studying at the University of Notre Dame Australia's Fremantle campus. Established to support and advocate for the needs of its members, MSAND represents over 400 medical students annually and maintains a growing alumni network of more than 1,000 graduates.

MSAND’s primary mission is to promote the interests of medical students from their initial academic years through to their professional medical careers. The association is student-led, emphasizing a community-driven approach that fosters personal and professional development for its members. MSAND offers a variety of social and educational opportunities designed to enrich the student experience and complement the formal medical curriculum.

Among its initiatives, MSAND supports Special Interest Groups (SpIGs) which provide focused exposure to various medical specialties beyond standard coursework, allowing students to explore and engage with diverse areas of medicine. The association also operates networks such as the GP Student Network, aimed at connecting students with general practice pathways.

MSAND acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which the Fremantle campus is situated, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation, and pays respect to their Elders past and present, reflecting its commitment to cultural awareness and inclusivity.

As a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), MSAND operates with transparency and commitment to its members’ welfare. The association also seeks to build partnerships and foster relationships with other student organizations and professional bodies related to medicine.

MSAND organizes a range of activities and events throughout the academic year, including orientation camps, gala balls, graduation celebrations, and sports clubs like the MSAND Footy, Trivarsity Netball, and Run Club, which encourage community bonding and wellbeing among medical students.

Through its dedicated committee and active membership, the Medical Students Association Notre Dame (MSAND) Inc continues to be an integral part of student life at Notre Dame Fremantle, supporting the academic journey and professional aspirations of future medical practitioners in Western Australia.
