Overview

Swan Christian Education Association Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Perth, Australia, established in 1982. Its primary purpose is to establish and maintain Christian schools. The association operates as a system of interdependent schools, focusing on providing Christ-centered education to children and young people across Western Australia.

Governance

SCEA is governed by a volunteer board elected from and by its association members. The board appoints a Chief Executive Officer to oversee the organization's operations. Key leadership roles within SCEA include the Chief Education Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Head of Marketing & Community.

Schools

SCEA owns and operates several schools across Perth, offering education from kindergarten to high school. Currently, its member schools include:

• Beechboro Christian School: Offers education from kindergarten to Year 6.
• Ellenbrook Christian College: Provides education from kindergarten to Year 12.
• Kalamunda Christian School: Offers kindergarten to Year 6.
• Mundaring Christian College: Encompasses pre-kindergarten to Year 12.
• Northshore Christian Grammar School: Offers kindergarten to Year 7.
• Swan Christian College: Provides education from kindergarten to Year 12.
• Southern Hills Christian College: Formerly known as Armadale Christian College, offers kindergarten to Year 12.

Historically, SCEA also operated Geographe Grammar School from 2011 until it closed in 2015. Midland Christian School was another primary school that merged with Swan Christian College in 2009 to form a comprehensive kindergarten to Year 12 school.

Mission and Impact

SCEA aims to empower and equip children and young people for life through primary and secondary education. The association seeks to provide resources and support that enhance educational experiences across its network of schools. It facilitates cross-school initiatives and events, benefiting over 5,000 students enrolled across Perth.

SCEA is a member of the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia, reflecting its commitment to excellence in Christian education.

SCEA is grounded in Christian values, affirming the sovereignty of God and the authority of the Bible in all matters of faith and conduct. Its educational approach is centered on Christian principles, aiming to shape and grow future generations through a faith-based curriculum.
