AISNSW is the peak body representing independent schools in NSW The principal activities of the Association during the financial year were to provide a broad range of relevant consultancy, advisory, accreditation, advocacy and support services to the independent schools sector in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. The principal short term objectives of the group are to: promote the interests of independent schools; represent independent schools in the broader community; advocate to ensure independent schools interests are represented fairly and accurately to government and media; provide governance support to school councils and boards of member independent schools; assist member schools with advice, support and information on relevant legal, industrial and operational issues that pertain to the management of an independent school; provide professional learning and accreditation opportunities to teaching and nonteaching staff at independent schools; and continue to provide excellent resources, delivered through projects funded from Government programs to assist independent schools continue to deliver quality education.
