For Afghanistan PleaseDont ForgetAfghanistan Help Afghan Women and Girls Pursue Their Dreams and Access Education According to UNICEF the number of people in need in Afghanistan increased to 30 million people in 2023 the majority being women and girls. Despite the catastrophic humanitarian situation Afghanistan is edging closer to being forgotten by most of the world. When the Taliban returned to power in August 2021 they pledged to respect womens rights. Since then women have been ousted from most professions and barred from attending universities or higher education institutions.
