The Jewish Community Council of Canarsie, committed to the disadvantaged and at-risk residents of Southeastern Brooklyn, provides lifesaving human and social service assistance to thousands of individuals and families regardless of race, religion or gender. For over three decades, the JCC of Canarsie has made a positive difference in the lives of our community’s frail, destitute and poor, continuing to be on the forefront of combating hunger and poverty in the Starrett City, Canarsie and Mill Basin areas of Brooklyn. Serving as a lifeline for impoverished elderly, needy families, and at risk youth, the JCC of Canarsie provides food, comfort, counseling, and hope to the over 6,000 clients who access our agency over the course of a year.
