Irish Institute of New York BUILDING BRIDGES THROUGH ART EDUCATION CULTURE The Irish Institute Mission Statement The Mission of the Irish Institute of New York is to promote and conserve the study of Irish folklore music and art throughout the United States and Ireland. Through grant funding we encourage and support both individuals and organizations in the conservation and display of records pertaining to the mythology folklore literature language dance music and art of ancient Ireland as well as promote the circulation of historical material concerning Ireland ancient and modern through all forms of media. The Irish Institute promotes and preserves the principles of democracy as outlined in our Constitution and the bonds of friendship between the people of Ireland and the United States.
