Statewide Independent Living Council of Alaska Ensuring Alaskans with disabilities can live independently About the SILC of Alaska The SILC promotes the independent living philosophy statewide and provides support and technical assistance to the entire network of Centers for Independent Living CILs. Our Mission The Statewide Independent Living Council of Alaska is committed to promoting a philosophy of consumer control peer support selfhelp selfdetermination equal access and individual and systems advocacy. We work with our partners to increase accessibility and the integration of individuals with disabilities into the mainstream of society. State Plan for Independent Living Survey 2022 We will use the results of this survey to determine what we should work on during the years 20222024.
