Woodlawn nurtures curiosity and a sense of place by promoting Downeast Maine’s cultural heritage and offering diverse educational and recreational experiences. Nearly 200 years old, the 180-acre campus has over two miles of trails, an event space Barn, and a historic house museum open seasonally. The grounds are open dawn to dusk year round while the Barn is available to rent for private functions and is used for K-12 education programs, community events, and Downeast Senior College.

Home Visit The Barn Croquet Events Learn Support About More Welcome to Woodlawn The Black House The Black House Museum is closed for the 2024 season. The historic Black House contains original furnishings from the 180039s which belonged to the Black family who built Woodlawn. Trails Over two miles of forested and field trails at Woodlawn are open yearround from dawn to dusk. While enjoying the trails you can also learn about tree identification visit the children39s frog library or read the story on the story trail.
