The Minnesota Center for Mineral Resource Education MCMRE The purpose of the Minnesota Center for Mineral Resource Education MCMRE is to promote awareness of the positive contribution that mineral resources make to the Minnesota way of life principally by supporting teacher education in mineral resources including their geology exploration development extraction uses reclamation conservation and economics and to give support for the development and implementation of curricula for teaching about mineral resources at the K12 level of education. To donate contact us at 9527071250 or PO Box 211542 Eagan MN 55121 MCMRE a 501c3 organization was established in 2009 as the successor to the network of volunteers that had very successfully been organizing the Minnesota Minerals Education Workshop MMEW since 1997. Each year as many as 100 teachers from across Minnesota attended MMEW workshops that were held at sites throughout Minnesota from 1997 to 2008.
