Land in Common removes land from speculative markets and places it into a member-run trust, to be cared for over the long-term by its residents. We are creating a multi-generational land base for sustainable livelihoods that supports communities working for just, cooperative, and resilient futures.

Land for life livelihood and liberation Land in Common is a community land trust working to restore reciprocal relationshipswith the land and with each other in WabanakikMaine. We remove land permanently from the market welcoming it into community care as a commons rather than a commodity. We restore land connection with and for communities who have been dispossessed of direct access to the means of life by systemic oppression and who are working for collective liberation and healing. Together we are building a multiracial crossclass and multigenerational land base for collective liberation sustainable livelihoods and resilient futures.
