The Development and Engagement Initiative in Asia DEI in Asia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the research and development of student services programs and leadership promoting psychological spiritual intellectual physical and social wellbeing as well as greater intercultural understanding and engagement for institutions of higher education in Asia specifically mainland China. Today DEI in Asia has expanded its mission to consult with and provide education and training for corporations and local community organizations to develop healthy growth in leadership program development and empower them to better achieve their goals to have a positive impact in their personal growth and in their communities DEI in Asia works together with scholars and professionals from both the United States and Asia to develop effective program initiatives that will best meet the needs that exist in Asias dynamic and unique environment. By coordinating efforts and resources DEI in Asia hopes to provide greater opportunity for Asia to develop its own independent resources and programs to benefit the welfare of its people and encourage positive engagement with others. Inspired by the awareness of other social needs beyond this principal program initiative DEI in Asia is also working on several other initiatives in China and other parts of Asia that touch to the heart of many illaddressed needs in society by advising schools corporations and community organizations through a variety of consultations and trainings .
