CT Storm Special Hockey
The purpose of Southern Connecticut Storm Special Hockey is to give children and young adults ages 5 and up with developmental disabilities, who are physically able, the opportunity to play ice hockey in an environment that is adapted to their ability level. Through the game of hockey, the program teaches the player the life skills of dependability, self reliance, accountability, focus and concentration as well as the willingness to share that can be used both in hockey and life.

A proud member of THE AMERICAN SPECIAL HOCKEY ASSOCIATION Now Celebrating Our 19th Season October 2024 Southern Connecticut Storm Special Hockey is dedicated to providing children from the age of five through young adult with a developmental disability the opportunity to play ice hockey. Our therapeutic program teaches skating and hockey skills as well as gives the player the opportunity to play a team sport. Through hockey the program emphasizes the continued development of individual life skills such as selfreliance dependability focus and confidence.
