ABout the Award A RecognitionIncentive for Young Adults The award is presented to a maximum of eighteen winners age 16 through 21 living in Steuben County OR a currently registered student in one of the following school districts Addison AlfredAlmond Arkport Avoca Bath Bradford CampbellSavona Canaseraga CanisteoGreenwood CorningPainted Post Area Hammondsport Hornell City JasperTroupsburg Prattsburgh and WaylandCohocton. This award program targets a often overlooked population and offers incentives to youth who have shown interest and ambition towards academic or employment goals. Award recipients are selected by partner special school committees to receive awards and incentives dependent upon information expressed on the recommendation forms. These possible awards and incentives are Grant toward additional education Financial Assistance to College Financial Assistance for college books or other educational material Financial Assistance for workrelated materials Each year the nomination process begins in February and ends midMarch.
