FIRE Rocket Challenge
The 100% volunteer-run organization creates and implements STEM activities for students in 5th-12th grade. Our hallmark program is the model rocketry competition, which requires participants to design, build, and successfully launch a rocket carrying an egg payload to a target altitude and back to Earth within the required time. Program teachers and student teams also travel the United States to facilitate free hands-on aerospace-themed workshops to ignite the passion of young people to pursue a career in the aerospace industry.
