Founded in 1967, the Association has gained recognition as the organizer of what is often referred to as the "greatest St. Patrick's Day Parade in the nation." The organization operates as a 100% volunteer group and is committed to serving the local community by donating to various charitable causes.

The mission of the St. Patrick's Association is to foster community spirit and celebrate the contributions of the Irish to American society. Each year, the organization not only coordinates the parade but also aims to donate at least $10,000 to local charities. The Association's activities are concentrated around the six weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day, during which they engage in extensive fundraising efforts. Members of the Association participate in community service projects, including park cleanups and volunteering for organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House.
