The Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, that provides access to care support to Cape May and Atlantic County's pediatric cancer patients and their families during their child's illness. Brendan Borek was 18 when he succumbed to Ewings Sarcoma, a rare pediatric bone cancer in December of 1991. Brendan's Fund, a labor of love for his family and friends, was subsequently established in 1992 to perpetuate his spirited love of life and to help other children in his name. Since the fall of 2015, net fund raising and donation proceeds are annually donated to the Brendan Borek Endowed Fund at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Services are provided to the families of Cape May and Atlantic Counties by the Child Life Specialists at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), through the Brendan Borek Endowed Fund at CHOP.
