Baxter39s Place Home Mission Programs Donate More Our Mission. The Youth Academy Residential School will be a proactive learnercentered researchbased outcome oriented educational and Residential program built on a foundation focused collectively on respect restraint and responsibility. The program is designed to give 100 atrisk young men eventually 200 in grades 678 and 6 12 eventually the opportunity to learn about themselves and their community acquire knowledge and skills Florida Standards necessary for access to meaningful postsecondary opportunities in a highly competitive growing economy and provide youth with opportunities and support to build positive lives enhanced by development of interpersonal skills that include a focus on basic critical thinking and conflict resolution to enable them to move into contributing roles in society. The program will help youth develop achieve and maintain a lifestyle free from substance abuse and crime through a Residential school environment.
