Our public lands are under attack. The Administration’s FY26 budget guts LWCF-funded conservation & recreation nationwide—a direct attack on the bipartisan will of Congress by reversing the Great American Outdoors Act.  There have been countless LWCF funded projects across the National Trails System from the Ice Age Trail to the Florida Trail. If this proposal goes forward, public access to these trails will be lost.  The Land and Water Conservation Fund was established to conserve our public lands and ensure Americans have access to them. LWCF was passed with overwhelming support from a bipartisan Congress to provide permanent funding in GAOA to protect our irreplaceable public lands forever. Tell Congress: Follow the law.
