📸 Art That Speaks: A Powerful Night at Mark Arts 🎨 On Tuesday night, we gathered at Mark Arts for the private reception of "Out of Control" — a moving exhibition created by six young artists in foster care at Youth Horizons. Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and heartfelt conversation as they explored striking works of photography, painting, and sculpture that turn a common narrative on its head. Too often, youth in foster care are labeled “out of control” — but this exhibit invites us to consider the deeper truth: many of these young people never had control to begin with. Through their art, they reclaim their voice and tell their story on their own terms. One of the artists, Mr. D, gave a powerful talk about the meaning behind his work, leaving the room impressed and inspired. Just as Isaiah 61:3 reminds us that God can give us “a crown of beauty instead of ashes,” this exhibit is proof that beauty can emerge from even the most difficult of stories.
