Back in 2021, I received a request to help a badly injured horse. I said yes and he was one of few we just had delivered straight to the hospital. He was all but naked, covered in a skin infection of some type, what coat he had was splotchy. His tail non existent looking like a rat tail and he had an impalement that we would soon learn ran along side his rectum about 6-8 inches in. His hooves along with everything else about him was just trash. I spent months on end behind this horse healing the impalement, countless baths to cure the skin condition. Countless hours with the help of numerous volunteers, we did it. He healed. He’s been through retraining, he was adopted and then returned for behavioral issues. Now…. he’s living his life to the laziest and that’s okay. 💕 (fb)
