Come learn about what grows in this amazing park! We've got a few openings for the botany walk on Saturday, August 2nd, from 9:00 AM till noon. The walk will be led by botanist Clay Antieau. Clay is past president of the Washington Native Plant Society, an experienced restoration ecologist, teaches master gardener and plant ID classes, and is an amazing trip leader! 110 YOUTH SERVICE HOURS IN JULY! Grateful that young people want to spend time together outside caring for this amazing park! It was indeed hard work in the heat this weekend, raking and weeding native plant beds yesterday followed by the spreading of 20+ yards of mulch today. Grand thanks to the Foundation's youth board member Claire for organizing 2 full weekends of service opportunities this summer for local high school students from Eastside Catholic, Sammamish, Big Picture, Eastside Prep, Interlake, Overlake, Bellevue International, Juanita, Lake Washington, Holy Names Academy, and Newport High Schools.
