Bethany Olson is the Community and Youth Engagement Supervisor at the Office of Violence Prevention, where she leads innovative initiatives that uplift young people and amplify their voices. With a decade of experience as a middle and high school teacher, Bethany brings a unique blend of classroom insight and community vision to her work—helping youth discover their passions and connect with purpose-driven opportunities. In her current role, she spearheads the Reimagine Network, the community mobilization arm focused on building anti-violence coalitions across Louisville’s south and west ends. Bethany works hand-in-hand with residents, grassroots organizations, and local leaders to create safer, stronger, and more connected neighborhoods. Trevin Bass is the CEO of First Strike of Unity and Peace, Inc., a nonprofit youth mentoring program dedicated to guiding young people toward brighter futures. He also serves as the JCPS Board Representative for District 4, where he advocates for equitable access to education and essential resources for all students. A proud graduate of Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) himself, Trevin is deeply rooted in the community he now serves. With a strong background in both government and nonprofit leadership, Trevin brings a passion for people, progress, and purpose. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Spalding University and is committed to being part of the solution to the challenges today’s youth face.
